Image meta tag: You should talk to the girl down the hall; I think you'd like her. Lemme know if you find out why she's ordering all those colored plastic balls.
This cartoon is one of many that addresses the troubles with growing up while staying close to youth.
The meta tag references this xkcd comic in which the character stumbles upon a girl who's apartment is filled with colored play balls like in a ball pit.

I’m not sure if it was intentional or not, but this comic is number 616, which is also the universe number assigned to the regular Marvel Universe.

This comic really deserves a better-detailed, longer version. It really can be a logic paradox. Had a friend who programmed industrial-grade robots by day, and played with his childhood robots at night. (Transformers FTW)
He said it was “like having two minds jammed into one head: a grown-up one and a young one.” The difference in thought process was literally so different he had to ’shift gears’, or else he’d either do awful at work and not enjoy playtime at all.

This sounds like a symptom of Asperger’s. My roomie is a diagnosed Aspie and apparently it’s a pretty common symptom there.
