Children’s Fantasy

by Jeff

Image text: I was going to be a scientist, but that seems silly now. Magical worlds exist. I've learned a huge truth about our place in the universe. I'm supposed to care about college? I mean, FUCK.

The main character won't just spend the next 70 years with his loved ones suspecting he is crazy.  Everyone will suspect he is crazy.

  1. I think the point is revealing a critical flaw in all those books about discovering a secret magical world. If you can’t go back you probably wont be that happy. Then again I believe both Neverending Story and Narnia partly touched that problem themselves.

  2. The Narnia Stories are full of adult Characters trying to get back to Narnia after leaving

  3. It’s a parody on loads of kids and young adult books about regular children who are whisked off into a magical land, perform heroics and such, and then return to the real world. People who grew up reading stories like this (like me) secretly have always wanted something like this to happen to them. Honestly, this comic is kinda sad.
