Image text: I wanna hold your hand so I don't fall out of your gyrocopter.

In this comic, the first three sentences are a bunch of statements that you would find in a birthday or anniversary card from one person in a relationship to another. In this case, all the statements are in the negative. However, by the last frame, a positive greeting card statement is used, but is continued below, which makes it less of a greeting card statement and more match up with what is going on in the background.

In the background, Cueball is gathering a lot of different sort of random things, including a crane, what appears to be a bomb and the top of a manikin. He takes two more piles of stuff and creates some sort of super tank with huge wheels, a mounted gun, satellite dish and crane. It appears to be running as there is exhaust coming out of the top of the machine.

In the image text, a gyrocopter is a very small ultralight helicopter.

UPDATE: Thanks to the commentors, I missed the outline of a female character on the tank in the last frame. So take what I've said up there and reverse it. Cueball is the character speaking, not some separate 3rd party about Cueball.

Ancient stargazers though the sky was simply a domed ceiling like the 2rd frame on the top line.

In the first frame of the 2nd line, Cueball puts HD webcams on the tops of football uprights, so "hundreds of feet" apart would be 120 yards apart exactly.

This one from David Troupes of Buttercup Festival, which can be found here.

Pretty straight forward, Cueball and Cutie sitting on the moon and she says that she has never been so happy. But, then she stops herself. Once she pegs her old high school nemesis with a rock (moon rock?!), then she can truthfully say "I've never been so happy."

Image text: A universe that needed someone to observe it in order to collapse it into existence would be a pretty sorry universe indeed.

In this comic (a rare one without text in the comic portion) both characters are thinking about each other. However, because it is xkcd it is not that simple because one could be thinking about the other thinking about them. Ok, let's see if I can make that clearer. Potentially, Cueball is thinking about the possibility that Cutie (or Megan ) is thinking about him. Or it could be the opposite way around. Or both.

And the image text adds another layer to the comic. The text is a reference to quantum mechanics and Schrodinger's cat which both say roughly that something may or may not exist (or in the case of Schrodinger's cat - may or may not be alive) until we observe it. In this comic, there are two universe, one with Megan and one with Cueball. Both are separate, but both are thinking of each other, but not observing (or seeing) each other. One could think that they are a great distance apart. In the comic, both characters look extremely sad, since they are not observing each other, merely thinking about each other.

That's what I get from the comic. This looks to be one of those that is open to interpretation. What do you get? Let's hear it in the comments.

This is another one of those xkcd's that I classify as "emo". Each and everyone one is cynical about love and its effects. Since there is nothing to explain here, besides Young Cueball and Young Cutie sitting around talking about their musical tastes. Cuties is sitting on a rock for some reason.

I'll wait for the next comic that makes a joke about Lord of the Rings and wormholes or something.

Image text: But then she does that thing with her tongue and I remember why I left you.

This submission is from Aaron Hill. Aaron lives in the finger lakes region of NY, where he works as a web developer in higher ed. He has a blag (http://blog.amhill.net) and is on the twitter (@aaronmhill).

Cueball is waxing poetic about the six months since his breakup with "you", an unnamed, off-frame, individual.

In particular, he has been having dreams about his lost love, and during those dreams, he realizes in the back of his mind that it just feels wrong and rejects that ephemeral reality. The punchline is when he says that dealing with the loss "would be so much easier if [her] mom didn't look so much like [her]", implying that he is currently sleeping with her mom.

And according to the image text, apparently her mom does something annoying with her tongue.
(ed note: I also think it is possible that "she" who does something with her tongue is his new girl, who does something sexy with her tongue. The new girl is also possibly the first girl's mom. Not quite sure who is who in this comic.)

This comic depicts Cueball on a rope in a cavern. The text indicates that one of his loved ones used to be afraid of being taken away from him and being forgotten. It is not explicitly made clear whether the loved one in question is a woman with whom he is in love, a family member, or a relation of some other kind, but presumably the loved one is either his girlfriend or wife.

Cueball had promised that he would always come looking for her. But then she actually was taken from him. He reiterates that he was serious about his promise and that he hopes she is not afraid, because he's coming to find her.

It's not clear exactly in what manner his loved one was taken from him, only that she was torn from his arms and vanished from this world. Though there are other possible interpretations, this might be read to indicate that she has died and that Cueball is descending a cavern in search of the underworld where she has been taken.

It's also not completely clear whether Cueball is descending the rope or climbing it, but it seems logical that he would be descending it.

The image text plays on a quote from the 1984 film The Terminator, in which Kyle Reese describes the Terminator to Sarah Connor: "It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead." The implication is that Cueball, motivated by love, can't be persuaded to stop looking for his loved one by any means, and that he will never stop looking until he finds her.
