| titletext = Corollary to Hofstadter's Law: Every minute you spend thinking about Hofstadter's Law is a minute you're NOT WORKING AND WILL NEVER FINISH! PAAAAAANIIIIIIC!
}}

Explanation
As for the title text:

Hofstadters Law is a non-scientific law that states: "Things will always take longer than you think, even when taking into account Hofstadters Law."
Transcript
[Ponytail is sitting at a computer, having presumably just paused work on a project.]

Ponytail: AAAA! I'm so bad at estimating how long projects take.

[Danish enters from offscreen]

Danish: Don't panic-there's a simple trick for that. Take your most realistic estimate and double it.

Ponytail: Okay, but-

Danish: Now double it again. Add five minutes. Double it a third time.

Ponytail: Okay...

Danish: 30 seconds have gone by and you've done nothing but double imaginary numbers! You're making no progress and will never finish!

Ponytail: AAAAAA!

Danish: PAAANIIIC!

[Danish raises her arms in mock hysteria. Ponytail runs away from her desk screaming.]

Ponytail: AAAAAAA!
::actually, it might be possible to correct for that, using bipolar geometry. Essentially, you can derive a 3d model from 2 images from different view points.
An updated solution would be to put the two stabilised cameras on quadracopters which are coded to remain a set distance apart. When you want to look left/right it would take a while for the pair of drones to rotate around their centre point but not too long..... Then you could also get a perspective from the height of a giant (drones can go to any height) and with their degree of parallax (from whatever value of height and eye spacing you choose). 108.162.250.225
:This is a very cool project indeed! Some hardcore image stabilizing software would be required too, since you would get nauseous if the two images weren't perfectly aligned at all times. But this setup is the only one I could think of that would enable you to perceive the view from the last frame. In fairy tales (most notably in little red riding hood), the wolf swallows whole its (human) victims. The comic depics an inversion of roles. Do you think it's worth adding this observation in the explanation? 188.114.99.18
I'm having a really, really hard time imagining what kind of discussion Randall was involved in that led to his thought processes ending up producing the result we see here. --RenniePet (talk) 02:58, 11 January 2015 (UTC)
According to the research of the Grimm Brothers, Randall has it all wrong. Wolves do not live in the stomach of people, people live in the stomachs of Wolves. For example, a big bad wolf might told to take two humans and call the doctor in the morning.
This particular comic is referred to in the game Borderlands 2 with the gun Morningstar, referred to in game as an 'ex-K Seedy weapon, custom designed for a murderer like yourself' which is a reward from the mission Hyperion Contract 873. When fired it talks, saying things similar to this comic, like "Someone is now an orphan and doesn't know it yet!" or "They might have been raised in a broken home" after a kill, or "Murderer!" on a critical hit. --68.200.188.141 04:16, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
I think you never kill humans in Duke Nukem (or Heretic) and personally I consider it advantage. Alternatively, in Unreal Tournament, everyone respawns just like you do, making it something like game about game. -- Hkmaly (talk) 09:53, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
While not technically a FPS, Dishonored did something similar with The Heart. You can aim it at anyone and get a surprisingly similar type of insight into their life.
