Cueball is the best man at Megan and an unnamed man's wedding. He makes the usual speech about how he met Megan, with the twist that instead of ending his speech on the note of "dude, this is one of my best friends you're marrying here, and you're really lucky to have her. Treat her well", he ends it on the bitter note that Megan, being married, will never fall in love with an anonymous stranger.
He then gets defensive when the party gets understandably annoyed at him for making his speech the way he did, noting that they asked him to make the toast, and that he's within his rights to say whatever he wants in it. what if its Cueball's best friend words at Cueball and Megan wedding. he s jealous (title) of their eternal love so he tries to downplay it with twisted ideas such as "you ll never experience it again". of course transitioning from alone to connected you wont experience it again, because now you re eternally connected.
