The first comic posted on LiveJournal was [[7: Girl sleeping (Sketch -- 11th grade Spanish class)]], posted on September 9th, 2005, and the 52nd and last comic posted on LiveJournal was [[55: Useless]], posted on January 30th, 2006. The last posting to the LiveJournal account was on April 23rd, 2006, saying the account would be deleted soon. As of April 4th, 2015, the account still exists.

When the 41 first comics were transferred to the new xkcd site three extra numbers where added (nos 5, 12 and 36; see why under the LiveJournal entry). This explains why the 52 comics have numbers ranging from 1-55.

When the 41 first comics were transferred to the new xkcd site three extra numbers where added (nos 5, 12 and 36; see why under the LiveJournal entry). This explains why the 52 comics have numbers ranging from 1-55.

  • Below these 52 comics have been sorted in the order they came out on LiveJournal.
  • Only 11 of these comics kept the LiveJournal title completely unchanged when released on xkcd.
