:Well that's why the pink line is higher than the blue line. Of course, this only holds true for the ''collective''. For an individual, one's options are significantly more limited when pursuing a same-sex partner. (Sexual orientation being something else the chart is able to ignore, since it discusses ''the total possible number'' of romantic pairings.) Not that I'm criticizing.
