I get the joke of a knife being 1k nifes (or nives?) but the joke would be even better if "nife" existed in the first place. After reviewing the FAQ for this wiki, I've learned that the "citation needed" template is meant to be used only when it conveys a deeper sense of humor, not necessarily as an actual call for a citation.
