:I've been using Linux since 1992. It was extremely difficult to config the boot loader, way back in the day. Originally you had to configure LILO by hand, after rawwriting the eleven install floppies. And the only window manager for X (14 more floppies) was Tiny Window Manager, uphill both ways in the snow. —Kazvorpal (talk) 04:34, 10 November 2019 (UTC)

Is this still an issue with UEFI boot? as long as the EFI Partition is valid I could write whatever I wanted to my lover's boot sector. 162.158.114.28 11:04, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

I've been using Linux since 1992. It was a pain in the ass to config the boot loader, way back in the day. Originally you had to configure LILO by hand, after rawwriting the eleven install floppies. And the only window manager for X (14 more floppies) was Tiny Window Manager, uphill both ways in the snow. —Kazvorpal (talk) 04:34, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
