Can we lock this page or something? It seems to be a target for many of these spammers -- 256.256.256.256 (talk) 08:56, 17 December 2021 (UTC)

:I have mentioned this somewhere or other in one of the Community Portal areas in the recentish past, as I recall. Obv. as I'm only a (real*) IP I can't do a thing, but I'd vote for this if it counts. As an actual registered user (* - kudos on the name, I've been seeing your additions and changes recently) you might have more clout with the admin-level users.

:But there are far too many unused accounts being created and surprisingly little actual spamdalism, I note. Whether they're being spotted and quietly neutered most of the time or just being created but 'forgotten about', I don't know.

:What worries me is if SEO hacks, like this frequently appears to be, still  work whilst relegated to historic edits. Hopefully Google, etc, at least downgrade wiki-page info that was reverted away, possibly even penalise it. But that would be down to The Algorithm, and what their spiders do to keep The Algorithm fed.

:...anyhoo. Here's hoping someone else notices your edits, like I did. I don't really know who should be directly informed these days, as old admins seem to have idled out. 172.70.86.68 12:19, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
