Explain xkcd: It's 'cause you're dumb.

Hello! I'm Quillathe_Siannodel, signature {)|(}Quill{)|(}, and I would like to welcome you to my user page!

About Me

I am a wiki contributor and a huge nerd with mild SIWOTI Syndrome and perfectionist tendencies. I dabble in coding and enjoy typing extremely vague things about myself in About Me pages. I have an alt account called Quill2 for testing purposes.

Note That...

  • My real name is not Quillathe Siannodel.
  • Quill2 and this account are used by the same person.
  • The person behind this account anonymously edited before the account was created.
    • For IP-based privacy reasons, I will not divulge the precise occasions on which that happened.
      • However, I promise it was not an attempt at sock-puppetry and I did nothing I would not do if logged in.
  • I often take long breaks from editing this wiki; I assure you, I am still alive.
  • I am still relatively new to this wiki; please be patient with me.

Current Project: Addressing vagueness of incomplete template.

Problem

People are putting CREATED BY A ____ jokes instead of explanations in the Incomplete tags. The jokes are funny and all, but it goes against explainxkcd good practice and makes it harder to figure out what needs fixing. I'm not angry at the jokes, I'm upset by the lack of information. See the examples below for clarification on what I mean.

BAD: This explanation may be incomplete or incorrect: Created by A _____. Please mention here why this explanation isn't complete. Do NOT delete this tag too soon.

GOOD: This explanation may be incomplete or incorrect: Created by A _____. <Actual reasons for incompleteness here>. Do NOT delete this tag too soon.

ALSO GOOD: This explanation may be incomplete or incorrect: <Actual reasons for incompleteness here>. Do NOT delete this tag too soon.

Solution

Adding meaningful things to the incomplete tags if there isn't anything there. Who's with me?
