Items for Garden

Hi .42 (my name for you?). How do you find the links for the items in the garden like the one you posted here: [xkcd.com/1663/art/2x-balloon-huge.png huge balloon]? Did you find it or just find someone else posting them? See also my comment to your post in the garden discussion page. Cheers Kynde (talk) 14:18, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Have replied to you comment on my talk page also. Kynde (talk) 15:35, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
If you view a garden with the debugger, the javascript console lists the filenames of all the images used, along with the number of times they occur. .42 (talk) 16:22, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. Have written a description of how to find links on the image page and now also added a debug mode section on the main explanation. If you know more about it than I do maybe you can improve both? By the way super cool garden with no less than three of the newest objects you now have. I updated the image of the shark birdbath after the fish and heron appeared. Have you seen all the new images you added in your own garden? I know of one item that is not on the list, the top of the beehive. I saw an image (there is one on the screen shot page) with the full beehive, but that was from the forum you linked to, and there where no garden link. Maybe you can find the link? I have added all the images you found, plus 10 that was not linked (but had been found, the mid and top cairn). I fell that many of my gardens do not grow very well, or extremely slow. It also seems like many gardens stop altogether to grow after a few days. What do you think of this? Also see the six experimental blue gardens I made yesterday is almost completely empty after 20 hours. And the one I made five days ago with "one blue light" also grew extremely slow, when compared to your first intense blue light garden. Seems like the effect of light may change. Maybe it is now even more important to mix. Sorry for this long post ;-) Hope you read it through and looking forward to hear your thoughts. Seems like we do most of the work in this explanation right now. Kynde (talk) 15:49, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
I've managed to grow a few of the new objects I added. Several were in gardens linked from the forum. Some others, like the rest of the beehive, I haven't been able to grow but was able to guess their names (it turned out that one of the words Google suggested after beehive was section, and beehive section was actually the image's name).
Gardens definitely seem to grow much more slowly after several hours, although some people on the forum seem to have more success. I've tried to grow a complete beehive and a flying fish without water, but I can't find the right color for them. Instead I have a beret head on a potted plant on a beehive base, and bird risers without birds. .42 (talk) 10:35, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
Can you post links to those gardens in the garden section? Crazy stuff over on the other forum. I got a beehive today and then I see on the forum that they can stack much higher. Kynde (talk) 21:52, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
Beehive garden: [1]. I've changed the right two lights several times. Aside from the potted beret plant, the most unusual feature here is a star plant almost completely outside the frame above the rightmost tree. No swarm of bees here or on the forum, but there are six bee images. .42 (talk) 09:39, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Garden experiments

Check out my new 1663:_Garden#Colors_of_light sections. I also have a new experiment running with mixed colors in the garden section. See also my new favorite garden. Kynde (talk) 21:52, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
