Welcome
I know you are not a newbie and so I would like to see your opinions at this talk page: explain xkcd talk:Editor FAQ. The main issues right now are tables and headings. While avoiding tables seems to be consensus the headers are a more difficult issue. I try to keep this as simple as possible while a good layout is the final goal. Not easy.
