An error message is usually better than placeholder data to hide the error. The reason parameter should ideally have an addressable reason for the incomplete tag, or it should be empty so someone else can fill it in. Also, please avoid using the template directly in talk pages, it marks the talk page as incomplete and that's not ideal. Davidy²²[talk] 21:47, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
