== Welcome to the wiki ==

Hi there, and welcome to the wiki. Your first pages have been good, but I have a few notes, if you don't mind, that will help you.

* We use MediaWiki, which means that you can use [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Formatting standard wiki syntax] instead of needing to use HTML, and it will all get parsed out in the end.
* Please fill in the date in the comic template. The date that each comic was released is in the far right column of the [[List of all comics]]. Please change the format to Month day, year, so where Monday's comic would be written as 2012-12-10, it's written as December 10, 2012.
* We have the {{tl|w}} template to make creating links to wikipedia much easier. To use it you simply type <code><nowiki>{{w|Wikipedia article title}}</nowiki></code> and it will create the link. Alternately, you can change the displayed text by using <code><nowiki>{{w|Wikipedia article title|displayed text}}</nowiki></code>. We also have the {{tl|Wiktionary}} template which operates the same way.
* For several comics the blog that was here before the wiki had a full explanation. I usually find them by googling "explainxkcd <comic title>" and it will usually be the first link. This way we don't duplicate effort of making explanations twice, and wasted effort only pushes the universe further into entropy.
* When you copy over the title text and the transcript, if you wouldn't mind changing all the <code>&amp;#39;</code> to apostrophes, and the <code>&amp;quot;</code> to quotation marks that would be wonderful.
* Finally, as you create each page, if you would mind adding Categories to the page, it would save the need for someone else to come in later and add in as many as they can remember. The full list of categories is at [[Special:Categories]], but mainly focus on the ones in [[:Category:Comics by featured characters]] and [[:Category:Comics by topic]].

I prefer anonymity, that does not make me dumb or unreliable, any comment otherwise violates the premises you set out. Please do not leave combative comments yours on the comic comments, is creates a bad atmosphere. Use peoples pages. 
I am genuinely sorry i hurt your feelings.  It did not hurt my feelings when you undid my changes, though in the past things like this used to. Get used to this or you will become the enemy, such is the way of the wiki :). 
I responded but my changes where reverted. If you could point to any evidence for your theory’s, please put them in, but first discuss the evidence, and don’t put everything that was commented about.  For something to be a theory there should be some evidence for it. These are just feelings that people wrote down. Theories without any backing in the comic are best reserved for the comment log.
#There are no references to the matrix in the comic and it does not help understand the comic. If Randall intended to reference the matrix there would be some reference to it, and likely it would be part of the joke. If you can show otherwise please do.

#There is no reference to any angst about the way people use the internet in the comment. Randall does not seem to be a technophobe yelling at kids to get off his lawn.  I can point to many comics that demonstrate his positive view of technology. He comments that he loves the funny cat video as much as you or I.  Hell, who does not? If you can show otherwise please do. 
#This comic is NOT stating that funny videos will shut down the internet, or that any one in their right mind believes that these videos are the ultimate creation of mankind. It is a joke about taking an expression literally. If you can show otherwise please do.  So stop taking this comic literally. 
Feel free to remove this comment after reading it, i do not want to stain your reputation.  I would also suggest removing your comment on the page where you call me a jerk.
