there was a similar joke in Bloom County in the early 1980s where baby Steve Dallas comes out of the womb angry and (I think) smoking a cigarette, asking if the doctor's mask hiding their face was for a robbery or if the doctor was just ugly. he even used the same word "stick-up" for robbery.
