Hello, I am a big xkcd fan.

On every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, when the next comic is published, my bot dgbrtBOT tries to create all the necessary pages here.

My introduction as xkcd fan
My random list of favourite Comics by Randall:

Combination Vision Test,
 +
Up_Goer_Five

and of course that tiny rover never coming home:

Spirit

Since the major server updates in May 2018 I'm an Administrator here. As an IT professional I really know how this stuff works.

I'm not native English
...and I do not like "typos". So many THANKS for helping on this issue or even more important: Wrong grammar <-I don't like this errors I didn't see.

After a few tests and always reading some useless error messages I've debugged the source code of the Math extension. In general it's simple but the error messages didn't help - especially when searching them at Google. But a brief understanding how this software works brought me to this solution:
+
As a German native speaker I had to learn something like "Oxford English" in school, and I did hate it. My knowledge about the (American, British, more...) English language mostly belong to later experiences. International contacts, science (especially physics), programming (Randall does not know how funny IBM does translate to German, "Copy from To" is in German just "Copy Until"), AND the main language at the internet of course is English.
:<math>P_{MathDoesWork} = 100%</math> or this one <math>\sum_{n=0}^N</math> (N is the number of what???)

The mathematical formula is rendered to a PNG picture. There are more possibilities, this is just the simplest way and compatible to the vast majority of all browsers.

Also I was even bad on the German language sessions at school. But that's just an other story.

I'm happy about corrections on my typos and grammar, but on essential content I will discuss.

Hello! I have noticed that "In this comic" is a pet peeve to you. As a gift, I have removed it from almost all of the 60 explanations that it started, but there remain some more places where it could be removed.

I'm happy about corrections to my typos and grammar, but on essential content I will discuss.

If you need a general copy-editor for grammar, punctuation, or usage, let me know. I consider myself adequate at it, being a decently educated native American English speaker. (I am not a professional editor, though, so stuff can always be made better.)

Thanks to Spongebob for some smaller edits on this page. I'm still learning English...<br />
+
Also, as you definitely have noticed, I can get belligerent over some things, particularly whether a page deserves its "Incomplete" status. I expect some more sparring matches in the coming future. I do hope to work with you on cutting the number of such pages down. <br />
Thanks to Spongebob again for fixing a really damn typo...

Anyway, thanks for the intro to the wiki! --Quicksilver (talk) 21:31, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
