Hate to burst a bubble...

...but he isn't actually pouring soup out of the outlet. He has one of those immersion heaters on a cord (picture is of a foreign unit, but they're made for here in the U.S. as well. He plugged it in (evidenced by the "plug" sound), then he's using it to heat his soup. No miracle there.

Really? To me, it looks like he's pouring a liquid (soup or water) out of the cord, as seen by the white end of the cord with lines in the middle and the dots next to the bowl. While it could be the soup spilling out from boiling and the white end was the insulation of immersion heater, there wasn't a white end to the cord in the last panel. I always pronounce his name like bare-eht guy, but what's his real name?
