I don't know about you, but that certainly doesn't sound like my idea of being able to enjoy the pleasures of being a new mom. I'm not saying that I wouldn't want to wear my skinny jeans soon after having a baby, but I can do without that kind of pressure to lose weight.Obesity is on the rise, and doctors and scientists are finding new ways to fight it every day. Some perform gastric bypass operations, cutting off a large quantity of the stomach, so naturally you eat less.

But that type of procedure can often come with serious complications such as malnutrition, infections, etc. Others use liposuction to suck out the fat. However, some find that fat from other areas of their body finds its way back to that area and leaves a disproportionate appearance. Finally, the most recent procedure to hit the market: lap band. It is an adjustable gastric lap band meant to significantly reduce the quantity of food you can take in before feeling full.
