Talk:What If? (book)
I'm moving over the discussion page on what if (which had already previously been moved in 2020) to make a different page for the book and the blog. Everything below is the what if discussion --FaviFake (talk) 15:12, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
I moved the what if? page to here because I was unable to use the "move" ability as it kept showing "No input file specified". — The 𝗦𝗾𝗿𝘁-𝟭 talk stalk 06:44, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
I just noticed this: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/29/science/randall-munroe-question-popcorn.html It seems to be a continuation of what if in spirit but not in name, should we link to it from here?
Is the "it's" in the UK book description a typo by the article writer, or is it there in the actual book? I can't find it on the internets. Szeth Pancakes (talk) 20:36, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
Summary[edit]
What exactly is the summary? There are numerous fallacies in it. Please provide context or I will likely return and edit this in the future. SilverTheTerribleMathematician (talk) 15:11, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
What If? 10th Anniversary Edition[edit]
42 added the introduction of the book here, which made me wonder whether we need What If? 10th Anniversary Edition, a page i created for it. if the UK edition is on this page, why should the 10th ann. edition be on another? The main difference between the 2 additional editions are:
- They're about 10 years apart
- The new one has 1 more chapter
- A different title and different "subtitle"
- Am I missing other differences?
So, do you think we should leave What If? 10th Anniversary Edition up, or should we keep it on the original book's page? --FaviFake (talk) 10:16, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
